Q: How can I avoid any risk of pinching during installation?

The transparent plate allows you to visually check that your skin is not in danger of being pinched. You then need to make sure you push your skin out of the clipping area.

Q: Why don't you have a joint on a branch?

Installing a joint on an axis, rather like a food clip, mechanically causes pressure on one side of the penis, which can cause the urethra to slip, making incontinence control ineffective. The Uriclip®, on the other hand, is designed in a vice, i.e. in a parallel position, in order to exert a balanced and centred pressure on the urethra to better obturate it and thus allow better control of incontinence.

Q: Do I have to use the foam supplied?

The foams supplied are primarily compensation elements to ensure the universality of our Uriclip® solution. However, it is possible to keep the foam on the bump side, which can remain in place without gluing, for greater comfort.

Q: How can I avoid the risk of unintentional disconnection?

To avoid any risk of unintentional unclipping, you must ensure that the Uriclip® does not rub between your thighs. To do this, we recommend that you hold your penis up towards your abdomen with suitable underwear.

Q: Is Uriclip® reimbursed by the Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie?

No, like all other external incontinence devices, the Uriclip® is not reimbursed by the Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie. However, some mutual insurance companies will cover all or part of your Uriclip® purchase on presentation of your doctor's prescription and your receipted invoice.

Q: Why doesn't the boss go up when I turn the screw?

It is possible that the "truarc" that holds the screw has come out of its place, becoming detached from the caliper and no longer fulfilling its function. Please call our after-sales service for a free repair.

Q: Why can the boss come loose from the screw when the penis is tightened?

You have chosen a position (P1 to P4 in the instructions), so it's possible that the choice of position is not suited to your penis circumference. Please repeat the procedure, choosing a more suitable position and making sure you measure the circumference of your penis correctly (between the crown of the glans and the foreskin in the retracted position).

Q: Why does my Uriclip® seem too small for my penis?

You may find that the device is too small because the pulleys protrude beyond the top of the stirrup arms. This is normal, as you will need to exert slight pressure on the cavernous body of your penis to allow all your pulleys to fit under the plate when you snap it on.
